8 Days Affordable Serengeti Balloon Safari

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION BY DAY

Day 1: Arrive In Tanzania.

If you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) at any time, a private transfer will be waiting to pick you up and take you to Arusha, where you have the rest of the day to yourself. We reside at the hotel, which is the ideal location to get ready for your safari. In the evening, we will assemble at the hotel for a pre-safari briefing and equipment inspection.

Day 2 : Game Drive In Tarangire National Park.

We’ll travel to Tarangire National Park to see its amazing animals and fauna. When the weather is dry, Tarangire comes to life as animals and birds gather on the Tarangire River. We’ll spend the night in our lovely lodge, which is tucked inside the park and has stunning views and an exotic ambiance.

Day 3 : Game Drive In Lake Manyara National Park.

One of Tanzania’s smallest parks, Lake Manyara National Park, nonetheless offers a fascinating and varied safari experience. We’ll drive there for a full day of game drives. Manyara’s shoreline is teeming with birdlife, and if you look closely, you just might see one of the elusive tree-climbing lions! Other large mammals are present in surprising numbers, and the spectacular rocks of the Rift escarpment provide a dramatic backdrop. We will travel a short distance from the park to our resort later that day.

Day 4 : Game Drive In Serengeti National Park.

We’ll move in the direction of Serengeti National Park. There is a chance to stop by Olduvai Gorge on route. In the 1950s, Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the most significant archaeological finds in the history of the world within this ravine with steep sides. In this tiny museum, we can witness proof of our ancestors’ existence that dates back 2.5 million years.

After lunch, we make our way into the Serengeti, where we spend the remainder of the afternoon game-viewing in the huge plains that are only occasionally punctuated by kopjes and stands of acacia trees. As of December,
Large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle will typically meet the migration in January and February. As well as several large predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, there is always a ton of local species, including giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. Then we’ll head back to our camp.

Day 5 : Serengeti Hot Air Balloon Safari.

The Serengeti Balloon Safari is arguably the most breathtaking balloon ride in the entire world and the pinnacle of the safari experience, allowing you to witness the most breathtaking wildebeest migration through the vast Serengeti plains.

You will be picked up at 5:00 am by Serengeti Balloon Safaris from your lodge or camp in the heart of the Serengeti, and driven in a Landrover to our launch point close to Masai Kopjes. Here, you’ll meet your pilot, get an introduction, and see your balloon inflate.

We lift off at dawn, rising with the sun, and we drift in the direction of the morning winds. Your balloon’s altitude can be precisely controlled by your pilot, who can fly it occasionally at or below treetop level for a unique perspective and fantastic photo possibilities of the wildlife below.

You are driven to the rendezvous location after breakfast to meet your driver-guide and resume your full-day game drives.

Day 6 : Ngorongoro Highland Safari.

Before arriving in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, we will begin the day with an early-morning game drive. This means that the entire area is managed for the animals as well as the local Masai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous fauna. We get a glimpse of the Masai way of life on the drive-in Ngorongoro.

We will drive around the rim of the Crater itself after arriving at the entrance gate, where we will learn more about this amazing volcanic scenery. From here, we can look down and observe the herd of wildebeest and buffaloes.

Day 7 : Game Drive In Ngorongoro Crater.

All year round, the Ngorongoro Crater offers fantastic game viewing opportunities! Because there is an abundant supply of grazing land and water throughout the year, the wildlife here has a constant population.

Eventually, we enter the crater. There are many creatures to witness, including lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinoceroses, and leopards, because the crater walls act as a natural sanctuary for the wildlife (if you are lucky). We’ll leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area later that day and head to Arusha.
